I don't have a clue about the rancher and I've seen enough of the older honda 4x4's to be positive enough on this .. you'll have no problems. The only problem you might have is a lack of experience compared to your buddies. Have you been riding long? Is this your first quad?
Keep in mind that a lot of the time is 90% rider 10% quad. Arctic cat has a poor name around here, but that's from the snowmobiles. I like them and all, but every friend I have with an AC sled has heaps of trouble with it .. maybe it's me LOL
If he gets on your nerves about it tell him to get bent, and continue enjoying your ride. I think you'll love it.

Sounds like your friend is realy jealous, offer to let him ride it when he can talk nicely about your cat. I do not think any of the manufactures put out junk, now one quad might have something the other does not but that is why we shop around to get the best bang for our buck. Now if your friend ever has somebody give him Cat, you can tell him I will come get that piece of junk and dispose of it right. Right out into the woods for a long ride.
If any manufacture made junk I would think we would know about it on here, besides the friendly bashing. AlaskaBoy.

AC sleds have a bad name in your area. Around here we consider them number one. Most reliable and comfortable sleds there isn, with Ski-doo coming in at a close second, polaris third, and yamahas last due to there old school suspension system

I have friend with Yamaha's and I received my share of crap until I had to winch them out time and time agian because they did not have the clearance. After that I did't hear much guff about having an Arctic Cat. Have run and who cares what someone rides.

Don't get me wrong on this guys, I'm sure AC equipment is as good as, if not better than most anything else out there, just stating my observations. I'd personally love to trade my warrior on a dvx, or better still, keep it for the wife and get the dvx for myself.

Well it just really blows me away how they think Honda makes the best bikes on the planet when Honda still uses old technology. Drum brakes, full-time 4x4, solid axles, etc. It's all a thing of the past but Honda sticks with it and the prices keep going up. Oh well, I hear from them about how my Cat isn't as good every day, but we will find out this weekend when we go ride.
My last new ATV was a Honda, and we've had a couple of Yamaha Warriors too. I just got the Cat this time because the Honda looks very over-rated now days. But I wanted to get you guys' opinion so I know what to expect when we hit the trails. I guess we'll see what happens.

Try not to let your buddy bother you. I'm pretty sure you have nothing to fear on your cat .. ride and enjoy!!
