My friend says Arctic Cat is junk

Honda got thear rep cause they tested and proved their machines in the developmant stage instead of putting it out there and seeing what goes wrong. But today the technology is so advanced and the other manufacturers know how important it is to have good quality that they all build great machines. Hondas last and are reliable BECAUSE they underperform.
If you guys (and gals) think brand bashing is bad in the atv world, try riding a honda, or a yamy, or zuk, etc to a poker run put on by a Harley shop. They trashed my buddies Kaw 1000 because he won all the events. They make it an event to trash a jap bike with sledge hammers.

I was south of big timber montana. - Thats what the DNR boys told me. They moved all the grizz out of yellowstone to that area. Beartooth Absarook mountain range. The local sheep herders loose 20+ sheep in a single night going through the pass near Independence.
hey - if I get to Alaska - I'll look ya up eh -

Well, we all rode all weekend. As I expected, one of my buds gave me hell about riding an Arctic Cat all weekend. But I went everywhere he did so I don't care. Anyway, my other buddy has an '04 Honda Rancher 4x4 which is what I was going to buy if I didn't get an Arctic Cat. He let me ride it, and here's what I noticed: his Rancher is a lot faster than my Cat. Even with the tranny in high range, and the shifter in 2WD, I still couldn't keep up with him on the straight stretches. I know he has a 350, but still... As far as ride quality...no contest. The Cat rides like a Cadillac compared to the Honda. I can't imagine spending all day riding the Rancher. It's as stiff as a tobacco wagon. Also, in even slight terrain shifts, one of his tires would lift off the ground. He was always having trouble keeping all four planted on the ground. My Cat seemed to do better with the independent suspension. I guess the Honda is a little faster, but for overall riding prowess I am glad I decided on the Cat. It's so easy to ride, smooth, and very capable.

the faster you go, the harder you die! Speed is great if yer a racer but it doesnt do much for you on the trails.
You hit the nial on the head when you said that you could ride that cat all day and couldn't imagine geing on the Honda all day.
Yer friends?? are idiots.
Hey johno, you going to windrock? I'd love to come down to lex to ride with ya.

Your friends are commenting on something they know nothing about, so I wouldn't pay them to much attention. If you wanted speed, you should have bought a DVX. A 300 isn't going to win any races, but it'll go places that Honda won't and it'll probably still have brakes in a year. Just keep smilin as you pass them in the rough going, mud, snow, and can still walk at the end of the day.

Hey Guys;
I had an 03 500 auto 4x4 Cat. Sitting in the showroom of my local dealer (Bell's Suzuki) it looked great. But that was about all, 10 days after I bought it it was back in the shop, than again and again back in the shop. Mostly brake problems and than ball joints all this within 250 pretty easy miles, than I got towed out of a creek by a Kodiac because water got up to the bottom of the front rack and my belt was slipping so bad it wouldn't move.
So far no problems with my "old fashioned" 04 Honda ForeMan and it does have selectible 4wd. I am not loyal to one atv manufacture I have had a Yamaha, Suzuki King Quad, Arctic Cat, and now a Honda. All of them has their good and bad but I had more trouble out of the Cat but it did ride better than the others, I personally like the "old" Suzuki King Quad as good as any though and looking forward to seeing the new one.
