2003 how many miles on tank af gas
last fall when i was out i took a gallon of gas with me and i road all day un till i ran out of gas and that was on my way home and i switched to reserve at 76 miles and ran out compleatly at 97 miles. and that was in and out of 4x4 all day fast and slow.
but mine is a manual and there was no snow on the ground.
in the winter going through the snow all day maybe 45 miles if im lucky.

i have a 03 500 man with stock tires, i need to switch to res at 65 miles, I know that i am running a little rich so after i jet properly my mileage should go up some. Bigger tires will give you better mileage. An auto will get worse mileage that a manual because the tranny always keeps the motor in the power band which means your normally running at a higher rpm than a manual

My AC650 is less than a month old and now has about 175 miles on it. During that time, we spent some days of riding 50-60 miles. Very little 4x4 use but varied speeds up to 40mph on the trails and logging roads. Used maybe 3 gallons per day. Of course it has a 6.5 gal. tank so I should at least get over 100. I expect it will improve as the engine breaks in better.
We figured the mileage on a 2001 SP500 at around 25-27mpg on the same trip.

It depends on the kind of riding you are doing. If you are going slow and in low range much of the time, it makes the mileage worse than high speed, high range. Also, whether 4wd is engaged or not might make a small difference. I have ridden 60 miles on my 375 in a day and had gas left over at Hatfield/McCoy, but at Windrock, with lots of slow going, especially on trail 12, it ran out of gas in less than 50 miles. My 650 on the same day at Windrock, with 75% of the time in low range (It will go 45mph in low!) and doing alot of crawling, still had 1.5 gallons left. According to the GPS, our average speed that day was just under 10mph. I'd like to see how far they'd go if the average was 20mph. I'll bet they'd do alot better.
