hey egghead.
what size tires do you have on your quad.
i have 28x12x12s on the back and when i get stuck sometimes i have to put it in low to get the tires to spin.
it depends on how bad you are stuck.
i think its better to put it in low as soon as you start to get stuck that way your motor isant straining as much and you dont have to give it as much throttle to make it work.

around 200 miles it starts to loosen up and around 300 it should be broke in and it should be able to spin them in the snow.
i know mine wont spin them if im in high gear 4x4.
but my tires are 28s.
