Ok, correct me if I am wrong but in more year than I care to count, a bunch of them as a marine mechanic(saw more water in oil than you even want to think about), we always saw white frothy oil or just white(a lot of water) oil as water in the oil. Never heard of blackish grey as water. Usually grey specks are normal wear of metal parts.
