Default belt prob. 2004 arctic cat 650 mrp

burnt the bvelt after 45 miles. replaced belt by the dealer. burnt the belt again after 66 miles belt chatters when you first xcelerate. frustrated atv has been in shop for 37 days of 74 days of onership anybody have any ideas it seems the dealer doesnt have a clue?

Two things come to mind....I got a ton of info from Prarie owners on belt care. One major rule is to use low range when riding at speeds below 30mph, it causes less strain on the belt. High should be used only when speed is more of a factor then slow technical manuvers. The next is to have the deflection properly set! 22 to 27mm of deflection with 13lbs of downward pressure! The tighter the belt the less chance of slippage and the longer the life! If you want more info on caring for and maintaining the belt drive system talk with the guys in the Kawasaki forum as they have had this set up for three+ years. Your dealer seems to not know what they are doing with your bike. Try another A/C dealer if possible! Good Luck!
