Default Reccomended Fuel??

Welcome to the forum OldGrump. I believe the recomended fuel is 87. Depending on where you live you just have to be careful with other stuff getting into the fuel like water and such. I also think it says something in the owners manual about oxygenated gas but don't remember exactly what it said. You should probably look through the owners manual and then get yourself the Service manual for your machine to help with maintenance. Owners manual isn't very informative on maintenance stuff.

As far as questions go, ask away. I think the only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask right?

Thanks for the info becuz I had heard some people talk locally about using racing fuel called cam2. I just wanted to see if other people had better luck or perfomance using a certain grade of gasoline.

Haven't heard of Cam2 before?

I do have neighbor who can tell you all the reasons why a Suzuki Vinson won't run on diesel fuel though! It is a really funny story as it begins with "I was drinkin tequila and...

Here's how I see it, if you want it to last, 1. good fuel
2. good oil
3. good filters

You may pay a little more, but I think you'll be rewarded down the road.

I only run premiums in my machines. No idea if it makes any difference at all.

run what your manul says it's bad for the engine if you put to high an octane in it. the gaswill explode instead of burn and cause extra wear on your engine seen it on a show about engines.

I don't think 93 octane will hurt a motor, high octane fuel burns slower than low octane, and has a better burn charicteristic. You can run higher compression ratios because it won't detonate as easy as lower grade fuels.
