i have never owned 400 but have had two previous 500 arctic cats both with winches on them and the last one i had 27 inch tires on it and well the suzuki motors always seemed to run a lil warm specially when a person does as much mud running and offroading as i do and i only have had the temp light come on once thats when i packed so much mud in my radiator the fan couldn't run and blew the fuse and i ran it warm alot just to get out of the swamp and let it cool down for 15 min and they can handle alot of heat but it takes an aweful lot for them to overheat the 500's but i would think the 400's would be about the same probably create less heat

 

Im new to Arctic Cats but my new 500 seems to run a lot hotter than my old Yamaha. The light has never came on but it sure heats up.
