Autocat vents
#1
Has anyone checked to see just how much airflow there is from the outlet of the belt housing? I was messing with mine and noticed that not a lot of flows from the outlet. My question is: Could a person close off the large opening that faces the engine? Then put several holes in the top of the vent with a drill and thereby be able to go slightly deeper in the mud and water.
One could also put sort of a cofferdam around the holes and be able to raise the level even more.

They flow quit a bit of air. It is hard to tell with the large opening. I snorkled mine with 1.250 inch ID rubber hose.If you rev it up with your hand over the end it is very noticable. The exhaust vent under the seat by the air box blows pretty hard as well. Your best bet is to snorkle it. Does not add a lot of visual appeal but sure has saved my clutch from the mud and water recently. I was going to sell my Auto cat and buy a manual. I have since solved my water infiltration problems and changed my mind.
