Default Arctic Cat, Are they any good???

I was thinking of maybe getting an Arctic Cat for my wife but I don't know much about them. I do know a guy I go riding with that has one and he is always getting stuck. I don't know if it's the machine or just the rider. You Arctic Cat guys please let me know how these compare with the rest of the brands. Thanks.

Nothing's wrong with my suzuki. There are a few Arctic Cats on the Lemon lot that I can get a good deal for. I just don't know if they are any good or not.

Well, Suzuki makes AC engines. A lot of other parts are from suzuki as well. Small stuff like the choke lever and little things you can notice, although AC uses a lot more original stuff than they did when the first started making ATVs.

As far as getting stuck, thats the rider. Nothing different with the AC that would make it get stuck more often than anything else. You should look into a lot of other topics here and just read around. You will find out a lot of good and bad about several different things.

Yes I know everyone gets stuck but he's going through the same mud holes I am and he keeps getting stuck. Maybe it's the rider but that's what I'm trying to find out.

What model and year is your friend riding? If you want my opinion, Arctic Cat is the best built and the only ATV I will own. I have two, a 98 500 with 4,000 miles and a 650 with 700 miles. They have both been very reliable. Our family has a total of 12 Arctic Cat ATV's and they are all satisfied with their Cats.

I'm not sure but it's a few years old at least. It is a 400 and has a straight axle.

The Act rear susp. is the best straight axle suspension on the market for utility quads. It will articulate so all 4 tires stay on the ground. This makes the quad very stable with a lower center of gravity. The 400 liguid cooled motor is very reliable. I read an article in a magazine that had a 98 400 with 51,000 miles on it. It was used in a lumber yard around the clock. If your wife don't mind shifting and stiff steering (Full Time 4X4), then I think she would like it.

12 arctic cat's wow your family is pretty hardcore arctic well i am on my 4th arctic cat and i am not brand loyal but so far they have been very good to me and some of the lil things they are starting to add on there atv's are very exciting like the bigger motors and them making there own motors and diff lock on select machines the biggest ground clearence true independent rear suspension ok i know a couple of those have been out for a couple years but still fun to see where the atv market is going hopefully some day they will come stock with 33 inch super swamper tsl's
