Default exactly how does it work?

Can anyone please tell me, exactly how does the CVT work? Is it like the centrifugal type like in the old AC snowmobiles. Like the more gas you give it the tighter the belt gets or what?I don't need mine fixed or anything, just wondering.

The clutches are similar to a snowmobile in that they work the same way exept the drive clutch has a bearing in the end of it.
Inside the case there is an actuater with a fork on it that keeps pressure on this bearing thus keeping pressure on the belt at all times including when you are decelerating.

That is how the clutch stays engaged all the time until you come to a stop.

Hope i explained it well enough....i had mine apart the other day putting in a different driven clutch spring and put an eyeball on that "gizmo"

Thanks everybody for your info, you all helped me out on that one! I really appreciate you guys helping me out on that. I just couldn't figure it out on my own, and I didn't want to tear my AC apart just to find out! It was alot easier just typing a bit! Thanks again!!!
