Default 05 500 Airbox setup?

I got a chance to look at an 05 500 manual shift up close last weekend. The airbox is up where the gas tank used to be but it looks like a duct runs from that airbox to the front of the quad somewhere. In the brochure, it shows a 650 cutaway/see thru and that duct goes to what looks like another larger airbox under the front rack.
Does anyone have any close up pics of this?
Do you consider it to be a good setup?

Default 05 500 Airbox setup?

My friend has an 05 AC500. I beieve he called that thing an air diverter box. It is underneath the front rack some where and had a cap on one side that he attached a snorkel to. I am not sure if that is what it was designed for or not.

If that is what it was designed for then maybe they plan on making some sort of aftermarket snorkel kit.

I do not have any pictures of it.
