What are the best goggles to buy? Unfortunately, the stores around here don't seem to have a great selection. The on-line selections are great, but without trying them on or getting advice, who knows how good they are...

I did see some Smith warp goggles that look pretty nice. Are all goggles created equal and it just comes down to looks, or is there a quality gap?

You will note that some goggles are meant to go over eye glasses. I try to buy the brand that my local dealer stocks the replacement lenses for. A lot of people don't know you can replace the lens for 4 bucks and not have to keep wearing scratched up goggles. Scotts and Smith are good. Have not used any others.

As noted above, some goggles allow the wearer to wear glasses under them - a must for me. So rather than go out looking for a particular brand, I take my helmet with me and try on goggles to see how they fit over my glasses, and how they fit with my helmet. Then it's whether I can afford them (and most are pretty affordable) and lastly, what brand they are. It's cool to have well known brand names, but more important that they fit you and your gear.

I have pair of ProGrip because the tint changes depending on the light condtions. This saves me from buying night goggles.
