MRP Rack retro fit?
Bear -You could save a lot of money with modifying your existing rack. You will note that the new MRP sockets on the 2005 models are just 1 inch square tube about 3 inches long welded to the old style racks. The plastic inserts are available from AC through any dealer. I make a 'half rack' that I weld onto the TRV's as they have nothing on the rear for rackage. Pictures are in my profile.
Make a trip to your AC dealer and check out how simple they have made the MRP plug-ins. I beleive they are 8 inches apart. Bring a tape measure.

MRP Rack retro fit?
Don't need to go to the dealer. Went down to the my shop and measured the '05 400I's MRP rack and been drawing up some plans to install the mounts on the 250's rack and then make a bases for the rear seat and the storage box so can swap them back and forth as necessary. Thanks for the idea.
