Default MPH / KPH on a 650 V2????

If you look at the odometer (at the right angle and lighting) on a 650 it appears as though it is possible to output in miles per hour and kilometers per hour. I've been through the manual and it doesn't mention the ability to switch between units. Does anyone out there know if its possible?

I would suspect it is possible. However have no idea, maybe a switch inside the cover, change a wire? I am interested too as I also have a digital speedo.

I still can't find it in the manual. Can you tell me what the sequence is?

I'm sure there is a way to do it. Looks kind of like the same unit kawaski uses, so you might ask somebody with a prairie (and I could be dead wrong on that one too). My 660 will do it. You have to hold 2 buttons down when you turn the key on and keep them held for like 5 seconds or something and it will switch over. Only did it once, but its pretty wild to see triple digits on the speedometer. I think for the yamaha, you held down the trip set and clock buttons and then turned the key on. No clue how it works on the AC, but I guarantee its possible.

In my '05 Owners Manual on page 95 item 7 tells you how to switch from mph to kph. It's listed under the heading of "Control Location and Function" section. It says in big black letters:

"NOTE: To display km/h or mp/h, press Display Button(1) to odometer: then press and hold Display Button(1) while pressing Clock/Hour Meter Display Button (6) for two seconds. Speedo will display between km/h and mp/h."

The Display Button (1) is on the Left side of the digital display and the Clock/Hour Meter Display Button (6) is on the Right side of the digital display.

Thanks for the response. Only the instructions you mention are for the regular 650, not the twin. The twin has a different odomoter. I've tried using those instructions to change my odometer output but it doesn't work. Anyone else have any more ideas?

First off the manual I have is for all Arctic Cat models and why would there be a different speedo for the twin. Oh yeah and the H1 650 isn't even out yet so how would you know it was different. The instructions clearly state that they are for the 400FIS/500/650 and there is a sperate section for the 300/400ACT/Auto/400TBX so why on earth would the 650 V2 be different and not included?

MPH to KPH and back only works for the 500`s and 400 speedos. 650`s can not be changed back and forth. I talked to Arctic Cat themselves about that.
