Questions about winch install
I made my own mount for my superwinch. I can see if I can get some pics that'll show it and send them to you if you'll post your email. I took the plastic off and traced it out on a piece of 1/4 steel I had. Then I figured out were the winch would have to sit behind there and marked that "height" on the plate. Then I welded an L shaped bent piece of plate to the back of the front plate. Drill the winch mounting holes in that, cut a hole in the front that a fairlead will fit thru and bolt it up. It basically looks like a T laying on it's side.
I have seen the nice warn switch for like $39 in denis kirk, they also have the relay for like$90, a starter relay from napa is like $15.
Bear, did you just use a cheap starter relay and have power in only? Send me your diagam please. Roywookey@hotmail.com Thanks

RoscoePW; A little water won't hurt a thing. I moun't my relays next to the battery under my seat, that's wehere AC said to mount it and I agreed. Like I said on my 250 I mount the solenoid(fancy name for a big relay) on the left side of the air filter box as there was lots of room and it was easy to get at. I did however coat all my electrical connections with liquid neoperme, then they can't ever get wet.

Why do you need scrap pieces of 1/4' steel?
I will be turning the "L" around 180 degrees, but I still need a plate that bolts up to the front of the machine.

To make the actual mounting plate. I didn't buy or have the Arctic Cat one, or any other one for that matter. The AC mounting plate is 75$ CDN...1/4" steel plate that I need is like 10$-20$ and a little bit of elbow grease!
