Helmets, what to buy, full face or open face?

If your going to get a modular make sure to try them on.. Iv been steered away from modular from every dealer iv went to. They all said with the extra weight of all the extra fror a modular the weight on the front tends to give a sore neck after a day of riding.

I have had the same helmet for about 7 years. Its a full face helmet. Its kinda nice to not get smacked in the face by tree limbs while in the woods. I do have goggles but dont normally wear them since i have glasses. I wear prescription safely glasses at work so I usually use those as they don't fog up like goggles do and they are impact resistant in case something does hit them. I think if you were riding in more open areas, an open face helmet would be sufficient as it would still provide protection in case of a crash but would give better visibility. Yes, this was a revived old thread but helmets are timeless.
