Default Thinking about getting.....

a jet kit and a K & N air filter.....

what kinda jet kit do you recommend? I've heard Dyno Jet is a good one....

on the K& N Air filter where can I pick one up at or on the web at? Do I need to get a diffrent air box for the diffrent air filter?

I have a AC 500 '03

Thanks

from what i hear, it isnt even worth putting a k&n air filter and changing jets. unless you go all the way with a full pipe system and all the other goodies to get power out of the bike. this is just what i was told while riding in a local atv park talking to other riders. i know one guy that put the filter and rejetted it on his 300. he told me it was a waste of money. maybe he did it all wrong i dont know. but if yo u do it please let me know if it works better. later!!

The K&N and jet kit together will give you 1 1/2 to 2 horsepower max without a pipe. There are dyno test showing this. The pipe will add about the same so it seems like alot more, but most pipes are noisier than stock and if your state is like mine, they are getting tough on noise. Also make sure if you get a pipe that it has a spark arrestor as trails require one. I will be going with a K&N filter and a Dyno jet kit or maybe the Dial-a-jet soon. No pipe though as I hunt with my rig and don't think it is wise to **** off guys carrying guns.
