ok everyone this is kind of off subject specially in the arctic cat section but i we would really appreciate if everyone would sign this petition they are sending to the president please everyone send an e-mail to jordanweir@msn.com and type in these exact words for a title Petition Against ATV Banning he is hopping to get 1 million signatures and if you go to land trail and environmental issues you can read what we are going through with our dnr here in minnesota and how every other state probably isn't to far behind us. so it is time for us to make a stand and it only takes 2 min and make sure you tell all your friends

Done. Fortunately for us in Washington state we have several friends in the State House and Senate and one of our local rider is a lobbist in the state capitol. We have several ATV friendly bills pending this year along with several anti-ATV ones as well. The one with the best chance of passage is to allow ATVs to run on paved roads other than highways. This would include forest service roads which at this time are off limits to us.

My intention is not to be a smarty pants here but I cant help say this:

If people would have a little respect/common sense with how and where when we ride, we wouldn't have this problem. It frustrates me really. It's the few that spoil it for everyone. ....and yes, even harmless fellas with the loud a$$ pipes are included.

"Tread Lightly"

I'll sign it! :-)

What are the specific issues you have with the DNR here in Minnesota?

Currently the DNR is working to open over 2000 miles of new designated ATV trail in the state and will be opening a 7000 acre ATV off-road recreation area in the ConCon area - connected to the existing Gilbert off-highway recreation area.

If you want to protest - protest the loud pipes, the butt heads ripping up all of the small town football and baseball fields, riding off-trail and creating extraordinary enviromental damage to every wet spot in the forest and devestating the ditches and driveways.

Stand up and be counted for following the existing rules and regulations - if everyone did that - there would not be the groups like MRR blackmailing Minnesota companys for donations and using that money to fund the lawyers to shut down the ATV trail expansions.

And BTW - the President has authority over federal land - not the State or County lands who are shuting down ATV access on a weekly bases. (and for good reason in most cases I might add) You may as well be petitioning the Queen of England.

I don't like loosing trails any more than anyone else - but your barking up the wrong tree -

Ride as if everyone is watching
Speak as if everyone is listening

Join ATVAM - it is the voice of Minnesota ATV riders in the legislature and county boards. They need your membership money and you need their representation down here at the capitol.

lol, you think atv bans are bad, look at jet ski bans! The enviro-***** (the Bluewater Network) have pretty much said ski's are the devil and has gotten many Nat'l Parks to ban them. Good thing W is in the White House to do something about it. Sheesh, you got lakes that allow every other type of boat in other lakes, but jet skis are bad. Hmmmm, damn greenies. Yeah, you're right on the jet ski thing. But here again, it's because of the noise, and the hot dogs who ride like they own the lakes. We've got the same stuff here in the Lake Tahoe area. There's big bucks owning land around the lake and it just bites them to see "Joe Six-Pack" able to put his boat (of any kind) in 'their' water and use it.
