How well does the Dynatek CDI work over stock in the 650 AC
I see alot of you have the Dynatek CDI and want to know what gains were noticed? Is it slight or impressive? Thanks for any info on the Dynatek CDI over stock set up.

How well does the Dynatek CDI work over stock in the 650 AC
I had the opportunity to try one before buying it. Started off by checking belt adjustment, set it at 23mm. A little on the tight side, cherps a bit, but ended up working its way in after about 25 miles.
Here are some of my results from last summer at the 400-500 mile mark.
Stock tires, stock springs, stock CDI, 2wd on asphalt
-66 mph (GPS)
-Raising front end in low standing up only.
-Tires barely coming off the ground in high standing up.

-70 mph (GPS)
-Raising front end in high sitting down.
Mud Bugs 27x10x12 Front, 27x12x12 Rear, EPI Pink Primary and EPI Black Secodary, Dynatek CDI, 2wd on asphalt
-64 mph (GPS)
-Raising front end in high sitting down.
I ended up buying it and I'm very satisfied with it. I kept the carbs, air filter, plugs and exhaust stock for now, may play around with those this summer. I'm over the 600 mile mark now and looks like my engine is fully broken in. I hit 66 mph (GPS) in 4wd on a frozen lake with about 2" of snow on the ice a few weekends ago, so I will be trying this again this summer in 2wd on asphalt. I'm sure I'm just shy of 68 mph. I haven't had a chance to realy try it in the pudding, but it really hauls #@# in the deep snow, no lack of rpm or torque what so ever.
As far as the Dynatek CDI, in my humble opinion, definitly worth every penny.

The Highlifter and VDI modules have to be spliced into the wiring harness. The Dynatech CDI is a replacement CDI. You remove your stock CDI and plug the Dynatech in. No messing with cutting and soldering the wiring harness. You can also remove it and put the stock one back very easily if you trade-in, sell, etc...

SwampEater - The Dynatek Ignition Module is awsome, but you really need to check your belt before you switch the CDI, or add any type of module for that matter.
For belt deflection measurement, removal and adjustment. See the following link from Nyroc's website.

Not hard but time consuming if you need to remove and adjust. I did mine at 400 miles before switching the CDI's. After it was all said and done, I ended up removing a 1mm shim and adding a .08mm, but this will depend on what was installed at the factory. Try and set the tension between 23 and 24mm, 22mm is to tight, belt chearps when you're in gear and stopped, and 25mm and up it's to loose. I'm over the 600 mile mark now and no problems, should'nt have to reset only replace at 4000 miles.

the highlifter module does not cure the limp mode and in my book the dynatek cdi is worth it's weight in gold they should have sent everyone of the 650's off the assembly line with one in them even thought the highlifter module does work good i had one but got rid of it cause my atv had major problems with limp mode
