The H1s are just rolling off of the line, I sale arctic cats here in florida and have had a deposite on the first h1 for about 3 months. I called the factory and checked for a delivery date. Because i have a deposite my bike is priority 1, They told me between march 15th and 20th i should have the bike. I think these bikes are going to be awsome, might get one myself.

Any one have any new info to share? A dealer in Ontario (close to where I am) said he would call me when he got 1, that was in February. He called Thursday and said it'd be there Tuesday. Is he just trying to get me there or is this possible? Its about an hour drive and I don't want to go if its a waste of time., but he also told me back then that only the larger dealers are going to get ONE and only ONE. Is this also true? I don't want to miss it if it is true.

my dad lives in surprise arizona and his next door nieghbor is the head of arctic-cat and he told us that they are going to
switch to the suzuki 700 efi engine cause they are great and less expensive for parts and they always love the suzuki motors the had in the past.
I don't know what whats next he said they are selling the hell out of the limited ed. 650 v-twins
because dealers don't mod the quads much and they are hot looking!

That sux! I ride with 3 people that have the Suzuki 700EFI, they have no usable power. They just spin and spin and spin. A few of the guys have the Brute and that has more power and it don't spin that much. Also thay all have had failures, one of them the top of the piston even pretty much blew off. This is just how we all ride, the rubber isn't always down of you know what I mean. Compared to the brute and grizz and such the suziki has the most failures. I'm not saying this is a national or world problem but just in our group of people. And you know how when you see problems first hand how hard it is to over come the fear of this happening to you. PLease tell me that AC is not going to waste all the research and development they put into the H1, for a not so great motor at the last minute.

If the just spin the tire, they have way more power than the rider know how to handle. Any race driver will tell you that Full Throttle is for only half way down the straights. I guess the equipment is now past what 99% of the riders are capable of handling. The "More Power"syndrome is not only expensive but dangerous in the wrong hands. How can a Brute have more power(?), but not spin the tires more? That is just not even reality. Pistons break, seen it many times, usually a flaw in that piston, or abuse and it sound like your group does not understand the concept of not riding over your head. Let me guess you are all young. I have had great service from every Suzuki engine in my Arctic Cats. And besides, by the time AC puts the engine in their bike the problems will be all solved by Suzuki. Why would you think they are going to dump the H-1 just because they are bring out an EFI 700. Not the same class of engines so both have their place.

when he said spins and spins, i think he meant that the engine likes to be revved yet has no usable power down low only on the top end pretty much. any 700 should definitely be able to spin tires but if the power isnt in the right place on the power band, whats the point if its not gonna help you. just like a turbo, they like to be kept in the sweet spot but superchargers give you power all over, (but again each has its downsides)/

Then it sounds like a tranny problem, not an engine issue.

Ok first guys 4114 said that they are switching to the suzuki engine and I was just wondering if it was true and expressing my opinion. As for being young I am the youngest at 26. I admit that we are very hard on our machines. But at least we know what is going to stand up to a normal rider and not. Frndinalowplace hit it right on the head! No power down low, well not no power but revs up way to fast, and needs to stay there.
