The mod only increases air flow not noise!! If you did not know that someone modified the exhaust from a 650 cat..you will not be able to tell the difference from stock.....This is not an HMF, supertramp or White Bros. noise maker that achieves the same results without the noise..and the spark arrester is still in place..

 

I dont wish to argue the issue. It is what it is. Your either adding to the problem or not.

But consider this - What we hear or not is very much subject to what we want to hear.
( Ask any husband. )

Thats why they use Db meters in making those measurements and not opinion.

So don't assume that this mod is going to be any louder until it's proven by a db meter. I'm telling you, it's not louder, at all. We've seen each other before on this issue, and I see your views haven't changed. Unless you have personal experience in this you really don't have a leg to stand on. There's a big difference between this mod and an HMF on a 400EX. You're right, we only hear what we want to hear, and that seems to be on both sides of this issue.

I would galdly put a meter on the pipe. If anyone has ever done so, please advise your findings.
