DVX vs. 800
#3
Well, have you ran a z400 or a kfx400 before? The three of them are all about equal. I have a DVX that is jetted and piped, but i haven't ran against a sport utility quad yet! My buddies went riding at the Badlands in Attica, Indiana last sunday and one of the guys who went just got a new Polaris 800 I think, and they said it had more than enough to keep up if not leave them!

you will have to post the results on here. i never thought i would see the day 5 years ago when they would start making utility atv's that will keep up with the sport quad's i know my 650 can hold her own specially when you figure the utilities have probably about 250 plus pounds over the sport quad's.

All I could guage it off of would be a Prairie 650, and thats just by heresay. How bad could your 800 beat a P650? I've heard it can hold its own with a 400ex honda, which will also get spanked by one of the suzuki clone 400's, so who knows. Be nice to see the results though.

The 800 from what the mags say is right with the BF. The 800 is faster to 25MPH, the BF has better midrange by like a MPH or two, then the 800 has a little better topend. So I dunno really, this should be a cool race. I'm starting to think he will win, but not by much.
So nobody has seen these two quads race?

ive seen a video of a bf750 racing several 400 clones and a yfv450 in the sands. after about 30 feet the bf was right there at the front but then slowly started losing ground but by 100 or so feet he was only behind them all by about 10 or so feet.

do it without putting any money on it, and if you beat him, then you can brag on the fact that your 800lb 4x4 outran his 380lb sport bike. Sounds like it will be fairly close. Try it on pavement if you can and then on dirt and engage your 4wd for a good takeoff.
