What is the lastest on the H1? Any word on when they are going to hit the dealer floors?
When do the 06's come out?
I'm thinking of updating and believe I would like a H1 EFI. (if it comes out)

Looked at a new H1 2 weeks ago when I dropped my 650 off to get the frame replaced. Sure looked nice! Experience has taught me a few things, one of them being never buy anything in it's first year of production. Even so, temptation gets the best of me. Exhibit A: bought a 2003 Ford F250 with the brand new 6.0 diesel... Ford is still working on getting it right 2 years later. Exhibit B: My 04 AC 650.. limp mode, broken frame, numerous small problems I've fixed on my own. I'd wait a year or so before buying a H1 so AC can fix any problems.

My dealer got 3 of the H1's (guess it pays to be the highest volume dealer in the state) as it turns out and when I go in to pick up so parts today I will try for another ride. They will have a bunch more miles on the one they are keeping by now.

Well, I rode the H1 my dealer is keeping for himself. It has a touch over 150 miles on it now, instead of the 10 the first time. It will most definately pull the front tires in high range. Much better than the first time I rode it. The area we have to test at the dealer precludes full throttle runs and I didn't have time to take it out to their farm to play due to late appointments. It's getting better than it was and if it improves as much as my 400 did it will be alright.

Thats great to hear Bear. I have 55 miles on mine and it is getting a little better. I cannot do a wheelie in high though, and can barely get the front off the ground in low. The H1 does have a heavy bumper in the front, along with the winch, front box, and 27" bugs, I do have a lot of weight in front. Good to here that it may still get better.

Overall I love the trans. It gives you much more control in the rough and difficult terrain. Coming off the 04 V2, i didn't realize the important roll that the trans makes in the tight stuff. I feel like I can take on even more difficult terrain with the H with more confidence.(even if in reality I can't, it feels more in control)

The only thing I would like is perhaps a clutch kit. When in high and agressive trailriding, it feels a little soft. I think it should be in a little higher rpm range for better punch and throttle reponse in this situation. I'm sure a different clutch spring would help this, especially when running larger tires. Also, as mentioned earlier- I think it has more breaking in to do which would lessen this. They seem quite tight, tighter than my V2 was.

Overall, I love it. Even though it has just a tad less juice than my V2, I would not go back. That says it all- so far.
