Hi all:::..well the 1st major problems on my 04,650 happened yesterday..was out on an atv rally and was muddin kind of hard.........not stuck mind u and all at once only 3 wheels spinning..........and i had it locked up .so i stoped and backed up about a foot and still ony 3 wheels ...so i backed up with it locked up went about 10` and heard a hell of a snap and low and behold i was stuck then..got winched out and found i had 2 cv joint blown apart.......any one else have this problem ever
..........hope u can help.......hoping it will be on warranty............supposed to have 2 years,,, so we will see tomm when i take it to the shop

Default 650 cv joints

What CVs did you blow,same axle??Sounds like your locker is out of adjustment a little,look at the left side of your diff where the cable goes in,the adjustment is there,tighten it up a little.

both the right and left outer joints....

Both front axles??Did you have your wheels turned at the time??

the left wheel quit.........so not sure how it broke.but was backing up and the right one snaped was turning out to the right....so maybe to much stress on the joint........but not sure why the left one broke

well...my dealer tell me i will get waranty on the shafts......but somethng i did not know is if u buy the shafts from ac.u cant buy just half shafts.u have to buy the whole shaft.......but also........the whole shaft ..is cheaper thn a half shaft of a yamaha grizz.........can but both axels for the price of one yamaha grizz shaft..

well dam ....my cv joints didnt break as such but pulled apart...everthing looks good except the ***** are gone..........any one know why they would come apart as i have seen people try and take them apart and couldnt....lol .dam the luck........but got to the shop to see what was exactly wrong and found a new h1 beside mine........guess what.......exactly the same thing.......both botom cv joints were pulled apart...........

TextI broke the left front outer cv joint on friday. Mine broke into pieces, not just pulled apart. The tech at the dealer said he has seen lots of them. This was my first trip to the dealer for repairs. They said the warrenty would cover it. We will see when I go to pick it up on friday.

After 2 ruined weekends due to broken front axles, I just bit the bullet and put Gorillas in the front. Sure, warrantee replaced the axles, but that doesn't save the weekend.
