Default 300 performace parts?

I know 300 and performance shouldn't be in the same sentence, but I am looking for some "performance" parts for my 300. I'm thinking more in the lines of a cam but I can't find a single thing out there besides jet kits. Anyone seen anything out there for these things? Any ideas would be appreciated...

Matt

Yes the Jet kit, but get one that changes the air filter to a high flow design or the jet kit won't help much. Then again you could get a jetkit and get the seperate K&N filter kit. An exhaust will help but the after market ones are loud. You can do the muffler mod on your stock muffler. Do a search of the AC forum for "muffler mod". I seem to remember someone even has pictures. Then if you are really insane, you could pull you cylinder head an port the head, shave the head for higher compression and premium fuel required setup. But that's a bit much if you are not gonna race.

Default 300 performance parts?

Well I just did the muffler mod this evening after work and now it sounds mean I am not sure if it made a difference in performance but I will find out soon when I get a chance to take it down a trail. One thing I can say is that it really lets the motor breathe a ton more- now there is actually exhaust coming out the tail pipe!! LOL I'm still looking for a cam...

You need to check your spark plug to check your fuel/air mixture for a possible jet change. That breathing more can lean out the motor and that's why you need to monitor the fuel mixture.
