Hey everyone, I have a 97 454 Bearcat and I need more power, can I bore the motor and put a bigger piston in or what other things can I do without getting crazy? P.S. The wife won't let me buy a new one which is what I want in the first place so I am going to have to beef this one up somehow.

 

Look on arcticchat.com and you will see some guys called GWC,DMR,Kscowboy and they have posted some cheap mods for the 500 like a muffler mod and airbox,rejetting that work really well. I'd guess like 50% more torque and lots of HP gained. a few guys get a straight thru muffler from tractor supply for under $40 and rejet carb for $4 and their cats haul butt. Theres also a video of them at a mudbog on there winning every class.
