Default why did they change

I just got an 05 ac 400 and love it. it gose every where i want it to go. even my wife will ride it and she says she fill safe, but is to big for her(she is only 5'1'). She realy wants to get an arctitc cat 250 or 300 but they changed the atvline up. it no longer the 300 and the 250 no longer has 4wheel drive and no IRS. We wanted the ac 250 0r 300 because it had 4wheel drive and IRS no other atv's have that. Why did they change. AC alway braged they had IRS on all there quads and a large line of atv's to choos from now they don't. they got rid if the 300 and 250, then changed the 250 to almots a sport quad. I don't like this change and hope they bring back the 300 and put IRS and 4wheel drive back on the 250.

That's the Hawkeye. It isn't out yet, it is due to be released later this fall.
My original plan was to get the Hawkeye, but when I realised that it wasn't out yet I decided to go with the 2006 Artic Cat 250, and it rocks. I'm not real unhappy about not having IRS, SwingArm performs fine and is easier to throw around, plus the Auto tranny rocks.

Those models probably weren't selling well, the most common reason any manufacturer revamps there lineup.

So go find a 2005 or earlier 300 or 250. My wife (5' 4") loves our 2001 250, says my 400 is just too big. I will admit the 250 is a bunch easier to ride and turns tighter too.

Ya it sucks that arctic-cat no longer make the 300cc and changed the 250cc they were ac's toughest quads and burn very little feul IMOP.... As bear4570 sayed if you checked some dealers you may find an 05 300cc and they are last years models so you might get a deal and save some $$$$$
