I have a 98 Honda Recon. We ride about 600 miles per year. Usually in Tennessee - lots of rocks but the stream crossings are clear. I changed to Mud shark rear tires for more traction since I am only two-wheel drive. It really made a difference! I am petite and really wish Honda would make a 4X4 Recon. My husband has a '90 Honda TRX 300. Bullit Proof! He is a maintenance fanatic on both machines. He must have about 6,000 miles on his but it really looks and acts like brand new. His buddies keep asking him when he is gonna upgrade but he says he likes his because the suspension has worn and softened up. In listening to him, I think he only wishes the Hondas (in general) could improve the ride of their machines. Overall, (we are in our forties) our Hondas have been very solid, reliable and simple machines to own. Maintenance is the key!
