Default Potential valve problem

Just to let you know, there may be a problem with the fuel valve on Arctic Cats. If your AC will still run with the fuel supposedly shut off, you may have a bigger problem than you might think. You need to take the fuel valve apart and cheak the condition of the rubber gasket inside. It may have small piece torn from it from the operation of the valve that can travel down the fuel line and cause the float valve to clog and the carb to flood at the most inconvenient time and place. I know of at least 3 ACs that have done this. I think it comes from not using the valve on a regularly . Then when you do use it, it is stuck and tears a small piece from it. I was able to repair the one in my and my wifes 300s by turning the gasket over and useing JB weld to hold it in place better and then polishing the outter part of the valve so that it would be much smoother and operate better. This has worked very well. Im not sure how many, or what years ACs use this valve, but best to cheak your before you have problems. I have also installed fuel filters in both of our bikes.
