hello everyone, new guy here.bought ac 650 v. about 1 month ago i flipped the quad going up a pretty steep hill landed on me and rolled down a hill and landed on the front wheel and bent the frame.well after an 1,800 bill, i was out again this weekend a little gun shy to say the least. i have 2 problems with this quad,1 its very to steer around sharp turns,2 going up hill seems the front end really wants to come up,especially if on the way up an incline you come across a boulder or log. im leaning as far foward as possible!my 4 friends have polaris 500 and 700.ive ridden them and they steer like a caddy and ive cleared the hill with their quads that mine flipped on.was wondering if adjusting the front and rear shocks would help these issues?other than these 2 issues i really like the quad.sorry for the long post.any help appreciated thanks Dave

polaris and arctic cat both have the highest atv's so when you get the tallest atv's you get a higher center of gravity and therefore you can tip easily. one of your problems is like you said you are gun shy right now and well sometimes that is good gets a person to respect your atv, but if you are wanting to climb more hills with your arctic cat you are in luck. they have seperate holes in the framework for the a-arms so you can set it to lower the suspension and get a lower center of gravity for your type of situation. well good luck and hope this helped.

i checked the a arms do have a hole to lower ,but only in the back.also noticed the rear shocks were fully loaded, so i backed them all the way off.if you put weight on the back of the quad it wouldnt budge before ,now it seems to squat good when i put some weight on it. have to see if the changes will help

i have never tried it i just know that the holes are there and that is the reason for them to be there. i personally need more ground clearance but maybe it is something you can lower it just for when you decide to go hill climbing.
