Default Help identify an atv

I was given an older arctic cat atv and am not sure what year or model it is. I was wondering if anyone could help me find the vin number on the frame. I have looked around but am not sure where it is and cannot find it. The engine sets towards the rear and is attached to the trans and rear end, all one unit. It is a 2x4 and has red plastic. It has electric and pull start. It has been sitting for years and does not run. It is in pretty rough shape really and I don't know if it would be worth trying to get it running or not. It has a forward reverse lever on the right side by the tank. It has a low, high linkage on the left side behind your leg. Hope this helps. I could take a picture of it and put it up if that would help.
Thanks for any help on this.

Tyler

Look in my pics and see if it looks like my green Cat. If so it is a 250 or 300.

The 250 had 23 x 8-12 tires on the front and 24 x 9-12 on the rear. The 300 2X4 also had 23 x 8-12 on the front but the rear had 25 x 10-12. One inch bigger because of the bigger motor.

Thanks for the help on this. It must be a 300 due the the tire size you mentioned. Also some of the date codes on the fenders are late 97 so I am guessing it to be a 98 model. It does look like your green one Bear4570, without the fender flares.

Thanks again.

I added the fender flares, the 250s all come without them. If you have registration paper work it will give you the vin # and the model year. I think back then the vin number is on the frame over the left rear tire.
