so has anyone been riding at all yet this spring? i went out and looked at mine the other day but the carbs are so dirty i spun it over a few times and it didn't even fire. i have to work this week then i am laid off next week and i am gonna clean the carbs on it. oh and from when i burned a belt before i got rubber on my clutch a lil bit and i was gonna ask how do you guys take care of removing this rubber? i heard to take really fine sandpaper and that does the trick or brillow pads. any ideas? i gotta get it ready to sell and i think i am gonna buy the 700 efi i can't swing the prowler.

I put a couple miles on Saturday, mainly cuz I wanted to test my new helmet. Country Cat in Sauk Centre had HJC CL-X4's on sale for $60. So I grabbed a helmet, some Spy goggles with the new 'persimmons' lens and some leather AC racing gloves. I am NEVER going back to a full face helmet again.

Oh yeh, the cat ran like a dream.

Hey v2, are there open invites to your ride on March 31? I wonder if the wife would let me sneak out for the day.

Anybodys welcome!

Weez, the mechanic at my dealer said to take fine sandpaper, and roughen up the belt edges a little bit, and clean the clutch. Roughening up the belt edge a little is like adding a clutch kit he said. It will hook up real quick.

He said no matter what, he will get it covered in the warranty, with a 50 dollar deductible of course. So if it breaks, i at least know it will be covered.
If you ever have to pay for a cv joint replacement, get hold of clutch and u joint out of the cities, on my old 2000 500 it was exactly 1/2 the money to have my joint rebuilt versus getting a new one from cat. most cv joints are rebuildable by these guys. this included shipping both ways too.

You can also buy cv rebuild kits direct from EPI.
