Default H1 SE Powerful Enough?

My Friend's Dad has an H1 SE 650 and he claims that his dad put 29.5 Outlaws on it STOCK!.. and he claims that there wasnt much power loss.. is this possible? will they fit stock? and if they do shouldn't it lose a significant amount of power?

I increase from 26 inches to 27 inches and lost 10 mph off my top speed. I think someone is a little full of it. I would think you'd lose upwards of 30% of your power by going to 29.5 inch tires

Check with someone who is running at least 28's. My 27's have lots of clearance.

I am running 26 gators and couldn't be happier.

they claw through just about anything and are not a dainty tire. I regularly run them up and down rail beds to get the the trails I travel with that sharp rough granite and they are holding up good.

with staying with 26's on my 02 auto 500, i cant say i have noticed any lost performance or fuel economy either

I did have to buy spacers for the back though, as i went with 12s on the back and 10's on the front

the back tires were rubbing on the springs on harder cornering.

I could have put a bit more air in i suppose, but on the stuff I am travelling on I prefer to run no more than 4-5 pounds

I'm the friend that jjonjon was talking about i never said that the H1 didnt lose power. I said that my dads H1 could run 29.5's stock and turn them over preety godd compared to any other stock atv. it will still do donuts, spin out and turn the tires over in the thick stuff.
so I'm not full of shyt.
