Default Back fire

I posted about the spark arrester because when i hold my machine at higher rpms when riding, then let off to slow down, it backfires once in a while. Is this normal? It is an '06 650V2

Default Back fire

Just means you a a bit rich on the mixture. Not really anything to worry about. In fact is may keep your spark arrestor cleaner.
