Ok I have 530 miles on my 03 300 and I went and got the AC synthetic kit for the 300. I drained the old oil & filter and changed the spark plug per the instructions. I then poroceeded to pour in the new stuff until the oil was between the lines in the window. Ok great everything was good till I started it up and it ran for about 30 seconds when I noticed the oil lines to the radiator and the lines back to the engine were comming off and guess what SPLAT the lines popped off the nipples and there is oil all over the place.
So I said well maybe there was some old oil in the lines. So I took an air compressor and blew the oil lines out and refilled what I had lost and started it back up and the same thing happened.
Pisser about this is I was riding the quad for about 30 minutes to warm it up so the oil would drain easily and there were no problems.
I know you guy's are good...can anyone help me out here??

Get some better clamps (the screw type) than the spring ones and the problem will be solved if the hoses are good and haven't gone soft, that is (they should be good). I recently install the oil cooler fan on my 2001 250 (the same set up as yours) and I replaced all the clamps as I didn't think they had enough tension. Besides clamps are cheap.

I was thinking the same thing after I posted the message. I wonder why only after I went to the synthetic oil this happened? I also noticed the gallon of synthetic stated it was 0-30. The oil recommended for the 300 is 10W40. Unless the dealer I went to gave me the wrong stuff!! quite possible but the box states for all 250/300 ATV's

Sounds like the wrong oil to me too. That is the reason I buy the oil change kit, part# 0436-452. It comes with the filter and a gallon of oil, it's cheaper too. Arctic Cat recommends 10W-40 for all their machines. Was the oil the AC brand or something else? AC doesn't have synthetic oil other than 10W-40 that I am aware of.

The box reads Arctic Cat ATV oil Change Kit. Synthetic All season Extreme 4-Cycle oil. Comes with the spout and filter and Gallon of oil. The P/N 0436-452. Application all 250/300 models $24.95.
Ok I found out why the oil hoses are blowing off. I was a dummy and put the filter in wrong. Stupid me for not paying attention. so the hoses are not comming off the nipples but now I am leaking oil from the cooler. When I had it out and blew it, I must have damaged it somehow or maybe the pressure was too much for it. Oil is not coming from the goose neck but from in between the vains. I now need to look for a new one...One mistake is costing me big time.
I will keep you posted. Any cheap places you would recommend?

I did not even think of bringing it to a radiator shop for repair. Great idea. I was pricing new ones out $265.00 new and $128.00 used form Brown's Leasure World. WOW what a costly mistake!! I will remove and bring to repair shop and see what they will charge me. Thanks for the idea.

Somthing eles you might try is a automotive automatic trans cooler. I am a mechanic for the post office and work on the little white mail trucks you see running around the neighborhood. We have been adding trans coolers to them lately and they look like they are made by the same manufacture as the one on my 300, only they are about 1/3 larger. I have been thinking about putting one one my ATV.
