250 valves

Hello,
Was wondering if some1 could tell me, it ti is difficult to adjust the valves, on a 05 car 250. Have ordered the service man. Just staring to hear them tick now,and would like to get them on a decent tempd day, thnx

They are not real fun to adjust, bent feeler gauge works best. I always set them with a dial indicator so I know they are correct. Motion pro and Arctic Cat both sell special wrenches that have referance marks on them that way you can set them without a feeler gauge.

Yeah they looked pretty easy to get to. Seems like you need the patientce to get them adjusted properly though. Also, any ideas where i can get a feeler gauge thea reads .001? smallest i can find is .002, thnx

I would set them at .003 for the intake and .005 for the exhaust. You will more than likely find that your clearances are less rather than more when you check them. For some reason 250 and 300 seem to loose their clearance more than other units, or at least that has been my experiance.
