Spark Plug

I only use NGK as well. In my old days, I used to use Champion in my snowmobiles. Blew 2 engines before the engine rebuilder told me that Champion plugs always run "hotter" then their chart values. Wished he told me this the 1st time our engine blew. (sad). Immediately wwitched to NGK brand and been running great - until we sold our snowmobiles.
In my son's mini-ATV, my AC 500i and all other engines, I now run NGK. They numbering and material type is up to you. For more details on the different types of NGK plugs, surf the bottom left index of:

Hope this helps as well....

I usually prefer to use whatever brand the manufacture recommends (Didn't use to but my preferred brand isn't what it used to be back in the '60s). As to heat range, if I have hot rodded the motor and am gonna be running it hard I like to back off (go cooler) a heat range or two depending on how much more power the motor is pulling.
