Cables - How do you lube them?
I thought you could not lube the newer cables on ATV's. Due to the teflon coating inside the cables?
I have a little clamp that I have used to lube the cables on my old CanAm 125 motorcycle and my old Suzuki 4 wheeler. You remove the cable, put this clamp on, and spray with a can of lube through a little nozzle until the stuff runs out the other end of the cable. It works great and is fairly cheap. I have seen then on Rocky Mountain ATV web site.
I just thought you couldn't use them on the newer cables that have a teflon lining. I was told it would cause the teflon coating to separate from the inside of the cable lining and put the cable in a bind so the cable would havet difficulty to moving.
