I bought my Utility Version 250 for a hair under 4 Grand out the door. I think the MSRP was around $3599 or something like that.
I recommend getting the utility version instead of the DVX, they are essentially the same quad, but the utility has Low gear, and racks. So if they cost the same, and there are basically the same quad, why not go for the ATV that would prove more useful.

What are you planning to use the quad for? If you are going to do sand dunes and easy or flat trails and general go fast stuff then the DVX would be as good as the ute version. If you plan on rough trails then the ute version with low range would be better. The DVX are chain drive and the ute's are drive shaft driven with racks.

Mostly dry trails. Where I ride is a atv park that has a lake and a stream leading to the lake. Now the stream is all but dried up. But sometimes with alot of rain it flows. Thats when its fun to ride it. But theres places I wont go. But I think with a lower gear and a winch I might just attempt it. Which I had 4x4. That would truly rock.

I got my son one in the beginning of Feb and so far no problems with it. The machine has plenty of power for a 250, the auto works great and the handling and suspension are very good. They come with Kenda tires and they hook up well in all kinds of conditions. My only complaint would be the stock chain case cover, ripped part of it off going over a log. I'm trying to find someplace that makes nerf bars and a full skid plate but no luck yet. I'm hoping that Cat comes out with something soon because I'm pretty disappointed with the accessories that are available. If you are looking for a sport 250 and accessories are a concern, I would not hesitate to take a look at the Honda 250ex. I was seriously considering one but the boy wanted something like his dad so we got him the cat. Any other ???, let me know.
