A K&N with a prefilter is the only way to go if you are gonna change from stock. Make sure the is nothing stuck in the air box drain tube valve that is holding the valve open. As long as all the hose clamps are tight that is about the only way to get water in the box without either hot hodding thru the water or going so deep you get your butt wet if still sitting on the seat.

What quad are we talking about here? Most likley a k&n will be best for you plus after you get it you will never need another filter for that quad becasue you can wash and clean the k &n's very easily. You shouldn't have to worry about rejetting either the only ac model that needs rejetting aftera k&n is the dvx 400 which I doubt that is what you have. Anyways let me know what quad I can get you a price on one if you want.

i own a 2006 arctic cat 400 4x4 auto fis its got approx 500 mi or so if that matters i would like a little more power out of the quad without having to rejet and all that so whatever air filter is going to give me the most gain and i definately want one of those prefilters as extra protection thanks for your time
