Let me guess, you have a 2004 650...

Get yourself some Gorilla Axles, and have your dealer get a new frame in for you, under warantee. Arctic Cat DOES NOT recommend you weld the frame, they will replace it with a new one. Good luck.

Frames were a problem with the 2004's and some early 2005's. Here is a Link you might want to check out. If your warantee is out, your best bet is to let them know that your frame was defective from the factory. Show the dealer how many frames were cracked on the 650's and keep on them. Call Arctic Cat directly if you have to. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi

I had the same problem and all was taking care under warranty. The frame and the wheel
My wheel shaft broke-shear in the middle of the desert..........
I think the frames are realy week and bad.
This is a result of a COMPANY who collects "parts" put it together and calls it ATV........
To my opinion no serios sterss and force analyesis was done on this ATV and this why this model
ROLL over very easy do not stable in turn and brake shafts and frames very easy.

Glad they took care of it for you.

Arctic Cat frames are actually some of the strongest on the market, the problem with these is the welds breaking, Arctic Cat did a poor job welding them. This is my understanding anyway.
