Does anyone have a cluch puller that want to get rid of???

I don't know anyone that uses one, it is not necessary and an expensive tool at that.

So what do you suggest, Catterman? Everything I've read says the shaft is tapered so the clutch will be hard to get off, even with a puller.
Or do you not need to pull the entire primary pulley? Ie; seems like you could pull the center bolt & the 6 or 8 outer bolts, pull the top piece & the spring, then the belt should slide off.
Right?

Default Anyone have a....

I bought the puller at my local Cat dealer for $24.95. There is no way I would have gotten the primary off without it. I tried using an impact wrench, nothing. Smacked it a few times with a 3 lb hammer, then the impact again, nothing. Removed the puller & packed the hole full of grease, then impacted it again, nothing. Smacked it a few more times with the 3 lb hammer, then impacted it again & it pulled it off.

I greased the shaft good so it's not as tough to get off the next time.
