Ok, are you saying the differentials are different? Aren't they all made by AC? Not trying to be smart a.. but.... My point was, if the noise is from the tranny,,,ok,,if it's from the differentials it could be a problem. Am I wrong. And no thanks on the 650V2, I like the 700, it has great enginge braking and plenty of power for me.

I'm not really saying anything, just giving you grief.

I know that mine makes noise, and it's not the only one to do it. I know the noise is normal on the v2. I don't know what parts are the same between models, so.. *shrug*

I also know that I love the crap out of my V2.

Just to add something here, I recommend you change to Amsoil Gear Lube. It is great stuff. If you ride in water I recommend you get the Marine lube as it can hadle 10% water and still function at 100%.

With a couple of rides coming up this week and next and a trip to Lake Hilbert Wisconsin in late August for 300 miles in three days. I'll be looking at somewhere around 1,200 miles by Sept. first. If it's going to whine it should by then. Whine or not, the AC's are great quads and I wouldn't consider going back to Yamaha who I was loyal to for years.
Amsoil is a great product. I run Mobile One in the engine and also use Mobile One in all my commercial mowing equipment. Really have had great results. By the way, I still like my Yamaha's and still have two Kodiaks, I'm just very disappointed in their products over the past couple of years. Not Yamaha bashing.

yours isnt going to whine AC700. its only the AC 650 V2s with the Kawasaki engine. The Suzuki and Arctic Cat engines dont do it.
