1999 arctic cat 250 2x4
hey guys i'm new here but needs some input on a atv, i was thinking about buying a 1999 arctic cat 250 2x4 for 1500 bucks, it comes with a winch and as i've been told has low hours and runs great. i need something for a work horse and to ride on my property, someting that will tow a small trailer with fire wood, beable to pull a small tiller behind or maybe plow some snow. how are these atv's would a 250 be large enough or have enough power to do these things. any info on this atv would be great thanks!

Well I have a 2005 300 4+4 Cat got to say here in Newfoundland (nick name THE ROCK) we have lots of huge rocks and bog holes. I've had my Cat for a year now and i payed 6100 + tax new. The 300 is a little tank but rides nice independant suspension. Great when i got my two kids on it ages 11 and 7. It a great bullit proof machine. I got mine for riding and a little work around the house. The selectable hi - low range is great. No problem with power although some time on steep grades backing up have to use the low range. The low range is great for manuviring around the tight areas. I'm quite sure that the 250 is the same machine just a few cc less. The only complaint I have is that its has lower ground clearence (10") that i would like. All my friend have 400+ machines and I have no problem keeping up with them on the trails. But in some places because its a little smaller i can manover better. Just have to be a little more carefull because of the ground clearance. I havent yet broke the plastic skid plate. Overall i sure for $1500 wouldnt be much of a loss. Check the machine out. Does it look like its been abused if not buy it
