Default brakes rattle on '05 500 LE

Hey guys/gals, I have a question for ya. i own an '05 AC 500 LE. My brake pads have started rattling recently. I thought that maybe I had a warped rotor so I installed a new one. That did not work. Whenever I get my pads wet they stop rattling. Does anyone have an idea on why they would rattle? It gets annoying listening to it. Thanks

I have not heard this problem on an ATV. But, I do know they make a silicone like fluid that comes with new disc brake pads for cars. You place a little bit on the wear points where the cliper pushes on the back of the brake pad. It is supposed to keep it from rattling.

I have used it on cars and it works great. I would think you might be able to go to an auto parts store and buy some OR clean the back of the pad off and put regular silicone on it.

If I rememeber correctly there is a little pin that the pads float over. That could be the rattle point.

By chance have measured your brake pads to see if they need replacing?

If you are hearing a rattling noise from your right rear brake its probably your foot brake. My 03 has the mechanical foot brake on the rear in addition to the hydrolic hand brake. THe mechanical part rattles some If I listen real close.

Hope this helps
