Changing cams in an 05 650V2
So I fattened up my jetting to 147.5 and 145 R/F Kehin jets and I saw a notocable improvement in top speed. 53 low and 58 high, this was on a sandy railroad bed with my 27" mud lites. The speedometer is pretty accurate, I checked it with GPS. Man the motor is screaming at 53 in low. I was riding with three buddies, two Can-Am 800's and a BF-750, man those machines crank. Suspension wise I could easily stay with them in all area's except all out excelleration but that was not real problem due to NH speed limits. One of the Outlander boys was actually impressed at my suspension as he kept banging his frame in the rocky area's, where I could clear without issue.
They both complained the the Outlander suspension does not live up to the motor and it very easy to overwhelm the suspension and brakes.
I think I enjoyed riding the BF most as I found the suspension to be a good mix of ride quality and handling.
