Default What Bearclaws?

Just bought a 2001 A/C 300 4x4 with original Titans. Fronts have 50% tread, rears about 25% left so I'm looking at the Kenda Bearclaws. Main use is utility (plowing, hauling) with some trail riding (very little mud). Original were 24x9x12's on front, 25x10x12's on rear. I hear the Bearclaws run a little on the small side (1/2" or so). Would putting 25x10x12's on front and 26x9x12's or 26x12x12's on rear cause any problems with spacing? Don't really want to lift or add spacers. New to ATV'ing and have been lurking on these forums and have picked up some good stuff. Thanks to all.

I would not go to a different size on a 4x4 than came on it unless I stepped up the same way, If it came with a 24 on front and 25 rear from factory then its geared for that setup. You could safely go to a 25 front and 26 rear, other combos could cause problems with how it works in 4x4.

The 250 and 300 have different gear ratios front and rear, that's the reason for the different sized tires. On both the 250 and 300 the available horsepower is rather low and bigger tires hurt their performance a lot. Putting 10" wide tires on the front are gonna play he!! with steering effort. You will have no clearance problems, which ever tires you choose. But since there are almost no hop up parts available for the 300, bigger diameter tires in not a good idea.

Thanks for the advice. Though I wouldn't mind a little extra g/c, I think I'll stick with the 24 front/25 rear combo. As Bear mentioned, the 25/10/12's might be rough on the steering
Great site for getting info on older 'more experienced' A/C's!
