I watched the video, and top speed is around 40mph, and max rpm is about 4400rpms. Its basically a tractor in an ATV frame! I think it will be popular for farmers, as said. But unless someone figures out the top speed, and developes some mods for HP, i dont think there will be many people buying them for fun. They seem to me built just for WORK. I bet they can pull a house though! lol!!

I'm betting the torque numbers are much higher than the gas counterparts, same trade off the trucks have.

thats 21.75 ft/lbs at 17.7HP.......not a very effective Diesel

29.5Nm at 2250rpm, and 17hp?

19.5Nm is no power at all, i would expect it to have at least 60Nm peak torque, and mid 30s horsepower

I think this is going to be a real guttless quad, it better have a 600lb rack capacity (actual rack capacity, not with a box in the back like the polaris 6x6)

Those aren't very impressive numbers for a quad that weighs more than 800 pounds. Other than it using the same fuel as a farmer/rancher's tractor and trucks, I'm trying to see what purpose this thing will serve. Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love to have a diesel quad that would be similar to at least my 400, but I don't think this is going to be it. For some reason, this is making me think of GM's attempt at putting diesel engines in their cars in the 80's.

i think its a gutless quad, and i would be willing to put a 700 gas quad's numbers against it anyday (how about a v-force?)

I live in a town that is 90-95% farmers (100 miles 1 way to Wal-mart) on any given day we have atleast 2-6 ATV/UTV's go down the road in front of my place I ride mine to the gas station and pump it full along with half the town doing the same thing. With these types of #'s I would put money that there wont be very many here. To many like to get out and play at the end of the day or on the weekends. and something that tops at 40ish isn't going to cut it.

This isn't looking good to me:
Too Slow
Too much $$$
Too Slow
20 percent heavier, yet tows the same
Too Slow
Less HP than some riding lawmowers
Too Slow

I do see the military buying these though, same fuel as the HMMV and other trucks, plus slow is good when almost none of the operators will ever have so much as riden a motorcycle - i.e. fewer injuries.

Towing Cap is only 1050 lbs. I thought it should be more than that for a Diesel...My S.P. 450 is rated for over 1200 lbs. How do they set the towing rating for quads anybody know???? Just wondering..Caper...
