Default '04 500 Valve adjustment

Does anyone know the valve clearance for an '04 500 auto. Never had the valves adjusted and I have 1600 miles on it( the dealer said they did it on the first sch. maintenance). Thanks for any help. BTW I'm new to this forum.

Default '04 500 Valve adjustment

2004 AC 500 Valve Clearance

Intake 0.05-0.10mm (0.002-0.004in)
Exhaust 0.22-0.27mm (0.007-0.009in)

Steps to follow for feeler gauge adjustment according to the service manual:

1) Remove the tappet covers.
2) Rotate crankshaft to TDC position on compression stroke.
3)Using a feeler gauge, check each valve/tappet clearance. If it is not within specs loosen the jam nut and rotate the tappet adjuster screw until the clearance is within specifications. Tighten each jam nut securely after the adjustment.
4)Replace the tappet covers

A trick I leanred from doing it myself. It is easier to do thisd if you remove the side panels, fuel tank, top engine mount and the coil (which is located near the front top engine mount). By removing these it gives you plenty of room to check the clearance. The intake valves are easier because they are on the rear side of the engine the exhaust valves are on the front side.

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.

Thanks SJ,
I ordered a service Manual the other day to get all the specs and steps. Thank you for the help.
